A type of specialized granular hemocyte that has a small, sharply defined nucleus and a pale, hyaline cytoplasm containing black granules; coagulocytes; see granulocyte.2. Has also been applied as cells that enclose gonadial germ cells, follicle cells of an ovary, and cyst cell of the testis.
